Chad R. Wiersema, one of the owners of EndoPerio, is bringing the office to Crown Point where he lives and is raising a family.
“After dental school, I worked as a general dentist for one year gaining valuable experience before continuing my education in endodontics,” he said. “I have been working as an Endodontist in the Northwest Indiana area since 2006. As an endodontic practice, we offer conventional root canal therapy, retreatment of root canal therapy, and Apicoectomy treatment of prior root canals. We also can perform root canals on children when needed, which may include regenerative endodontics. I have been a part-time instructor at UIC dental school, training the post-graduate students in the endodontic clinic. What I love most about endodontics, is being able to help patients in their most desperate times of need, in addition to working closely with their general dentist to achieve the most ideal outcome for long-term success.”
It’s also owned by Ammar Adam, a periodontist who graduated from the Case Western School of Dental Medicine in Cleveland where he was class president. He completed a general practice residency at the University of Illinois and a three-year residency at periodontics at UIC.
“I, along with my Periodontist Partners, practice all phases of periodontology and implant dentistry including extractions, bone, tissue and sinus grafting as well as placing immediate implants and performing periodontal plastic surgery to enhance our patients’ smiles,” he said. “My goal is to work as a team with restoring dentists to better our patients’ oral and general health as well as to improve upon their aesthetics. Efficient and thorough communication with all members of the dental team is an important factor in achieving this goal. I am proud that we at Endodontic and Periodontic Associates have branched out and have served the Northwest Indiana community for nearly 20 years. And we hope to do so for many years to come.”
