BUCKHANNON — Dr. Nicholas Dahlheim, D.D.S is joining the team at Dr. Michael J. Miller, D.D.S located at 86 East Main Street.
Dr. Dahlheim was born in Weston but grew up in Buckhannon and attended Buckhannon-Upshur High School. Following his high school education, Dr. Dahlheim then attended West Virginia Wesleyan College (WVWC) for his undergraduate studies and attended West Virginia University’s (WVU) Dentistry program, where he graduated with his Doctorate in Dental Surgery (D.D.S) in May of 2021. During his time at WVU, he was also the 2020 recipient of the Dr. Clarence C. and Maxine D. Cottrill General Dentistry Scholarship.
“I completed a residency in Martinsburg, West Virginia at the VA Medical Center. That residency was for my Advanced Education in General Dentistry. I had moved to Martinsburg during that time, but I have moved back to Buckhannon,” said Dr. Dahlheim. “In addition to general dentistry practices, I plan to also offer dental implants in the future.”
Dr. Michael J. Miller currently operates Michael J. Miller, D.D.S. However, Dr. Miller is going to be transitioning into retirement, so Dr. Dahlheim is coming on board to help with that transition. Dr. Dahlheim shadowed at Dr. Miller’s office during his studies at WVWC in the year 2014 and is already acquainted with the office. Miller and Dahlheim Dental will be the new business name and the business looks forward to providing the community with continued skilled dental services from one of Buckhannon’s own.
