Resolution: To reconnect with friends and colleagues I lost touch with during the pandemic. I plan every Saturday in 2023, with my morning coffee, to send an email or text to someone different, say hello and let them know I’m thinking of them. Also, I always appreciate getting these kinds of notes myself.
How to succeed: It’s essential to make the ‘how’ of a resolution small, easy, and linked to something you already do. For example, I decided last year I wanted stronger arms, so I put barbells by my bedroom door, and every time I walk in and out of the room reminds me to do five reps—it’s working!
