ALTON – Registration is now open for the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine’s (SDM) fifth annual Veteran’s Care Day Thursday, Nov. 10 at the SDM’s main clinic in Building 263, 2800 College Ave. in Alton.

“We are proud to offer our services to benefit as many veterans as possible,” said SIU SDM Director of Community Dentistry Katie Kosten, DMD. “Not all veterans have access to extensive dental care, so we are excited to once again bring this opportunity to our community and show our gratitude for veterans’ service.”

Last year, more than 100 veterans received free dental care during the annual event. Over the last four years, $180,000 of free dental care has been provided to veterans.

Services include, but are not limited to, cleanings, x-rays, fillings and extractions. To best manage patient care, appointments are required for the event. To register, call 618-474-7200.
