army: Dentist Duped By Phoney Army Officer | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad: A 36-year-old man from Naranpura on Monday filed a complaint with police alleging that a man posing as an Army officer duped him of Rs 2 lakh.
Dr Parth Ramkumar, a resident of Shraddha Society, in his FIR with Naranpura police said that he runs a dental clinic in Memnagar.
On May 18, he received a call from an unknown man, who introduced himself as an army officer and said that he wanted to hold a dental check-up camp. The man told him he would pay him online.
While talking with Ramkumar, the man took his bank details and withdrew Rs 1.90 lakh from his account.
Ramkumar approached Naranpura police and filed a complaint of cheating along with charges under the Information Technology Act.
In February this year, an ophthalmologist from Sola was duped of Rs 2 lakh by someone pretending to be an Army officer using the ruse of an eye check-up camp. tnn
