Halifax Community College is proud to announce the graduation of its school of health sciences students.
In a joint celebration, the Medical Laboratory Technology program, with the School of Nursing and the School of Dental Hygiene, hosted its pinning ceremony on Tuesday.
Fifty-eight men and women met the qualifications in these allied health programs.
Faculty from each program presented pins and awards to the students.
Thirty-six students received pins from the nursing program.
Each student has completed the requirements for the Registered Nurse credential and has earned an Associate Degree in Nursing.
Amy Tillery received the Patriot Award for Clinical Excellence, Kelly Thornton received the Patriot Award for Clinical Leadership, Baylee Edwards received the Patriot Award for Academic Excellence, Kelley Powers received the Patriot Award for Fundamentals Day Champion and Jena Davis received the Alice Anne Smith Nursing Achievement Award.

Dental Hygiene graduates
Seventeen students received pins in the Dental Hygiene program.
Shamari Boose received the Dental Hygiene Patriot Award, Miriam McCoy received the Colgate Student Total Achievement Recognition Award and Sadie Johnson received the Hu-Friedy Golden Scaler Award.

The Sue Tidrick Clinical Excellence Award went to Kayla Christina Gaertner and the Patriot Award went to Madison Finch.
