Real Life Video Game?
(inside a MagiQuest Nerd cave)
A company called “MagiQuest” is trying an interesting new concept. They are building “Kingdoms” where people will come into a computer fantasy game like setting in a 20,000 square foot facility and interact with video screens, (and maybe live actors? I’m not clear on this) to solve puzzles in quests etc.

(Nerdy kids with their magic wands prior to getting beaten up at school)
It’s kind of a cool concept, but will it fly? It reminds me a bit of this place they used to have in San Francisco called “Entros” that was this facility that had bars, and interactive games you would play. They tried to make a living doing corporate and special events, but in the end they didn’t make it, (although the Seattle one may still be in operation, not sure, Kat?) so I’m skeptical that this new D&D Geek twist to what is essentially the same idea will work.

Looks like fun,….but it’s no Casa Bonita.

San Francisco one was doing fine when it closed- we were booked solid- the one in Seattle had begun to run in the red and apparently some outside projects had overreached the profits and some backers backed out- so if Seattle and the outside projects hadn’t been leeching money the SF one might have made it.
