I know.. Another goofyblog Hiatus.

I shall be doing my thing at the Renaissance Faire this weekend,  so no goofyblog entries until Sunday night or Monday morning.  Have a very Goofy weekend!

    goofyblog is dead. It’s no longer goofy, but just a bunch of poliitical, anti-religous rants augemented with some youtube films and splattered with the occasional goofy item . Why not rename the site to more appropriately match the content???

    Jane I appologize for the smaller amount of articles on here since Burning Man, it’s been harder than I thought to get back into the swing of things, it seems like work has gotten super busy, plus I’ve been out of town every other weekend the past month for Ren Faire. But.. that’s over now so I should have more time for the blog. As for the political,religious,youtube thing, I dunno, I think Goofyblog would be kind of boring if all it was were links to goofy news stories. I suppose that was the original idea, but as time went on I felt like I wanted to do more with the blog… oops.. I mean DOLLY felt like there should be more on the blog, maybe I should start a 2nd one for the political stuff, but as it is I barely have enough time for this, (not to mention the train museum is in a big need of more content as well).

    I would like to say that I think one of the Goofiest things happening in the world, is actually the antics of politicians (of all stripes) all over the world. If you can find goofier, submit it to Porter (Like I have for some stories) and it stands a good chance of making it to the blog. One of the greatest things about the way the web is going right now, is that it is PARTICIPATORY, and that includes YOU! If you don’t like something, change it! This goes for Goofyblog, politics, the environment, whatever. “Whine you will not, do you will!”

    Besides, random ranting from both sides of the debates make this site my destination for reading some of the goofiest stuff on the web right now.

    I’ve been complaining about content for months- how come Jane gets an apology adn I get plbbbbttt? And I have no problem with the uber political commetary if its interspersed with other stuff that is goofy- or as she says- you should change the name to liberal political commentary

    It was Porter’s rants and the responses to them that got me interested in this blog in the first place. When I got some feed back (”where’s the goofy?”) after making my own posts, I talked with Porter and he said go for it anyway. The people who used to post anti-anti- diatribes in response to the articles are long gone now. Oh, well. I agree with Graham, our political and economic climate is more goofy than anything right now, maybe not as funny. But if you want to laugh, watch Comedy Central.
