Sorry about the lack of postings the past few days.  I moved this weekend, and my new place doesn’t have an internet connection yet, then on top of that I’ve been pretty Ill for almsot a week now.  First with food poisoning, then with some kind of lung-butter lung phlegm situation.  ack.

Kofi Annan says Iraq was better off under Saddam.  No friggin Duh.

We were better off too.  From the U.S. perspective, Iraq had a secular leader who was no friend of the Islamic Extremist, or Iran, who held the country under control.   Was he a brutal dictator?  he sure was,  and as I’ve said before we even invaded, Iraq can only be controlled by a dictator or party (bathists) who have full control over the country.   Saddam wasn’t installed by Aliens from another world,  he was a product, a creation of Iraq.  But now, Aliens from another world have intervened, and royally fucked up the country, in the name of trying to install Jeffersonian American Democratic institutions into a historic tribal culture on the opposite of the world…
