Coffee

Five days until the 2006 mid-term elections.

Will we finally see change?   The polling looks good, it appears that the Rove-esque Republican attempt to distract the nation with the John Kerry nonsense has failed, possibly even back fired.   If that’s true, if America is no longer falling for the pure vile CRAP that the Republicans have been serving for over six years, then I have to applaude America.

Is that the case?  We’ll see in five days.   However if you look in the heartland, you see an interesting shift happening.  In Kansas, moderate Republicans are abandoning their party in droves and becoming Democrats (Nine so far), apparently the good people of Kansas are getting sick and tired of the Christofascists on issues like evolution, abortion, and school prayer.   If people in Kansas are starting to turn against the Christofascists, then that’s a good sign for the rest of us.

Faux news never quits.  In case you’re still on the fence as to whether or not they are nothing more than a vile propaganda piece for the Republicans and Conservatives, check out this headline.   72 hours later the country has moved on from the Kerry nonsense, yet they just can’t let it go.   Again it appears the people are tired of this garbage,  but we’ll know for sure on Tuesday.
