Sorry about the weird problems with the blog the past 24 hours. Apparently my host had problems with their database (SQL) servers, and it should be all worked out now, or so they tell me.
You may have noticed a new ad on the sidebar for Dental Plans. As an experiment I’ve jumped into the world of affiliate marketing. To see my first attempt click here (And if you need dental insurance, buy a plan! heh).
Remember the Train and Railroad Museum?
After over six months of no updates, Aaron and I will be adding new articles soon, it will also be moved off of Goofyblog onto it’s own site (www.railroadsonline.net) Do you like to write? Do you like Trains and History? We’re looking for another writer or two to help with the content. If you’re interested let me know. The Pay is low, well, zero, but, (and this is a BIG BUTT), If the site makes a profit from Adsense and Affiliate sales, which I believe it eventually will, then you would get a piece of those profits based upon how many articles you contribute. If you’re interested send me an email (patamon@yahoo.com)
And now for a quick look around the globe…
Another soldier in Iraq has admitted to participating in gang rape of a 14-year-old Iraqi girl and the killing of her and her family, including her 7 year old sister.
When you send troops on an offensive illegal war of choice, a war that goes against the very oath they swore (to protect the Constitution and the United States, NOT To invade sovreign nations), a war that can never be “won”, and a war that is immoral and un-American. Would you expect anything less than incidents like this, and Abu Garahb from happening?
Over on DailyKos is a well written piece outlining 14 articles of impeachment against Bush and Cheney. Comeon Congress! Have some balls, please don’t tell me we live in a country were a Blowjob is impeachable, but 14 offenses, ranging from lying to start a war, leaking classified information, torture, spying on Americans, and destruction of evidence are not.
When Estonia and the Bahamas rank ahead of the United States on a worldwide liberty index, something is aint right, it just dang tootin aint right I tells ya!
And finally, with the Academy Awards coming up this weekend, you might find this list interesting. It’s the Top Ten Most Misunderstood Movies Ever Made. Scarface is #1, interesting, as is the Godfather at #3. and I have to say I agree with #2 as well, Gone with the Wind. I finally saw the entire thing about a year ago, and I had to leave the room as I couldn’t stop laughing when the woman died right after the little girl died on the horse, how much tradgedy can you cram in one movie?
Ok… back to your scheduled goofyness.
