Corpse falls off hearse and run over

Manila: A taxi rammed into a hearse in Quezon City, sending a corpse flying out of the vehicle on to a pavement before being run over by another vehicle.

The driver of the hearse was fixing a tyre puncture in the middle of a highway when the accident occurred along the city’s Commonwealth district around dawn on Tuesday. “The driver was changing the tyres of the hearse when a taxi slammed into the rear of the vehicle,” a witness interviewed by a television network said, adding that the taxi driver was apparently drowsy when the accident occurred.

Traffic came to a standstill on the road as everyone gaped at the lifeless accident victim.
