Cool Stuff: Smart Car
Anyone notice you’re seeing more and more Smart Cars on the road these days? I remember the first time I saw one was maybe 5 years ago when the CEO of the company I worked at had one. It was a novelty then, but now I see them all the time.
For those who have never heard of the Smart Car, they are pretty amazing little vehicles. They are completely modular, you can replace doors etc. to fit your mood, want to change the color of your car today? No problem. They also get pretty good gas mileage, around 40 MPG, with versions coming in a few years with as much as 80-90 MPG.
With gas approaching $4.00 a Gallon, expect to see more hybrids and cool little cars like the Smart Car on the road. Hello Smart Car, Goodbye H2-Hummer. Good riddance to bad rubbish as my friend Aurora often says.

I’m glad to hear you’ve spotted some on the road. About a year ago I invested some of my IRA in Zap!….

This should be a hit or miss sort of stock. It hasn’t done much but go down a tad since I’ve bought it. No reason to sell at this point I figure.

Good idea but not very family orientated. To be honest saving energy and caring about the world isn’t “cool”. So this would better off being aimed at families.

Smart Vehicles, Now In The US!…
I need not watch ‘The Da Vinci Code’ just to catch a glimpse of a Smart car. This unique vehicle would be starting to roam the country come 2008. Auto Parts Fast would be surely updating its parts list and all Smart car owners could simply find parts…

The Smart Cars are already available in the US from ZAP www.zapworld.com ZP (NYSE). A California based company who is also planning on brining a Brazilian made car to the US, the Obvio! 828, that is a hybrid that can run on any combination of ethanol and gas. Zap is also the only car company who is selling a Chinese manufactured car in the US the 100% electric Xebra city car.
