News: Bible Had it Wrong, Jesus Died for Our Oil, NOT Our Sins

Jesus died for our oil

Every day it just gets weirder.

It’s amazing what people will do when it dawns on them that their entire lifestyle, existence even, is dependent upon cheap available oil, and that the party may finally be coming to an end.

I wonder what people will say 100-200 years from now when they look back at these days, just before the big die-off begins. with the silly people running around like chickens with their heads cut off  looking for quickie answers to keep the SUV’s humming, the Wall-Marts stocked, The Re-Fi’s going, and the Highways full.

Someone should chronicle these odd happenings so future anthropologists can better understand the stupidity of man, someone should track these news items in an online database or blog or something, yea, that’s the ticket.

D.C. prayer rally to seek lower gas prices

WASHINGTON, April 26 (UPI) — A U.S. Christian group has grown tired of escalating gasoline prices and is set to stage a national prayer rally to lower the numbers at the pumps.

Various Christian clergy from around the country will convene around a Washington, D.C., gas station Thursday at noon to pray. For those who can’t attend, a live Internet site and toll-free prayer line have been established.

In a release, the Pray Live group said many people are “overlooking the power of prayer when it comes to resolving this energy crisis.”

LOL! That will work, boy, that will work!

Reminds me of Emo Phillips who said he used to pray for a new bike, but when he realized God didn’t work that way, he stole a bike and then prayed for forgiveness.

Modern day Christians are so far removed from reality that they can’t really be called “Christians” anymore can they?

Prayer and methods that will take 5-10 years work so much better than restriction of use- first off we’ve had more than 30 years to prepare for this- remember the gas crisis in the 70’s (yes I was very young then) people could only get gas on certain days based on their license number- and vehicles began shrinking and becoming more economical as soon as the crisis was alerted. This time we’ve been spreading SUV’s around like nobodies business for years- this oil crisis began a while ago but we haven’t really done much to avert it. Prayer and the president still aren’t doing much.

What if…….we could avoid high gas prices all together just by praying for a little pill that we could drop in the tank!?!?!?
